oh sh!t, i'm it

ok...

i'll probably list a couple things and then come back to this later, just so i can get my "tagged" list in before there aren't six people for me to tag (actually...there might not be six people now!)

so, since i've been tagged, I'm going to list six odd habits/tidbits about myself, and then tag six more people who also will do the same. (the official wording:
"TAG. You're IT! So, the rules are, once you've been tagged you have to write a blog with 6 weird things/habits about yourself. In the end you need to list 6 other people to tag and list their names.")

1. i am blind to all my weird habits, because i'm drawing a blank.

2. oh, here's one. i have (had) bouts of total social anxiety/panics...I'm not sure how one categorizes it. One notable example in college I can use to illustrate: I'm walking thru UH, knowing that there was a casual meeting of the "group" (the crowd i was in freshman year) going on the atrium and when I got within sight of them, without so much as a thought in my head, and I turned tail and sped away in the other direction. I just couldn't walk up them. mind you, these people were all my friends, whom I hung out with on a daily basis.

3. Hopefully this doesn't make me sound like i'm crazy, but i have inappropriate anger about the fact that my purse won't stay on my shoulder when I'm wearing a winter coat. That, and the fact that I would totally lose my purse if it weren't strapped to my body, is why I always look for a purse with a long strap so I can sling it across my entire body. I just won't really ever be purse-fashionable, due to inappropriate anger and the fact that I don't like having my purse in my armpit.

4. Since we all seem to have one, I will mention my own OCD tick. I double or even triple check the location of my keys before I shut my (locked) car door. Shaking my purse or coat pocket to hear my massive clump of keys does not suffice, I have to touch the clump of keys, check that I have whatever else I need from the car, and then find my keys again, then shut the door.

5. I like to make lists. Lists about errands to run, about stuff to do at work, about stuff to do with my life, goals, whathaveyou. Sometimes (such as certain days at work), the lists really help me get a lot of stuff done, since I can just glance at the list for my next task and jump right in, and crossing all those things off is gratifying. Other times, I buy a fresh, cute notebook from the store, divide it into categories about things that I want to improve in my life, make a short list in each, and promptly start using the cute notebook as random notepaper. I use lists to procrastinate actually working on the things on the list. I use lists to calm myself down then there's too much to do and I can't focus or am freaking out a bit. I use lists to make it seem like i'm being very organized and competant. Every once in a while I actually use them to not forget things.

i'll tag SarahMullet & Mark...(is it legal to tag carrie's other blog ;-) I will also tag anyone who reads this blog because I'm linked through Liz or Kristen or Carrie...I know you're out there, I just can't prove it. Tammy? Claire? ET? anyone? show yourselves!
